Are Pumas casual or running shoes?

I bought a pair of those black suede ones to wear casually but are they actually meant for exercise?

Reply:As a sneaker fanatic it depends on what kind of Pumas you get. Some are made for just casual wear, but I have some nice one's that are very light and are made just for sports.


I run in them and exercise in them all the time. They are very flexible sneakers I love them. It just depends on the one's that you get. If you can bend them with no problem...then you most likely should have know problem with exercising in them.


But if you can't ... then those shoes are just made for casual wear.

A real running shoe is something like the Asics.
Reply:They are more for casual. You can run in them because they hold your foot in place and have some support, but they are not made for running, just casual with a sporty look. The bottom of it is curved inward if you know what I mean. They don't have a full, flat sole.
Reply:pumas could be for both. but nike and adidas make shoes that are expecially for running, that are better than black suede pumas. i would wear them for casual wear.

or even get sporty and wear them. thats why theyr so good %26amp; everyone loves them. cuz u can wear them for everything.

the ones for running have those big weird like springs in the back


ive got like 4 pairs of pumas and i wear them evrywhere


and i actullyu never have worn them for running


and evryone i no ownes pumas and were em all the time

Reply:No they are not meant for running/exercise. My husband got a pair that looked very stylish and was told they were okay for running. But they actually were not and he learned that the hard way when he got shooting pains during a long run.





They are best for casual. You can tell by how thick the soles are. The Pumas that are stylish are pretty thin.

Reply:I have the same ones and I use them for casual and exercise. They go great with a pair of jeans, and for exercise they are comfortable to wear.
