Im thinking about doing a 5k charity run.
bit of training for it, and casual use thereafter three times a week, may not run at all in winter or cold weather.
have a pair of nike trainers

will they be ok ? or will i have to buy running shoes ? will it cause long term damage to my feet or back ?
Casual use of Running shoes?
A 5 K is only 3 miles so you shouldn%26#039;t have any problems with you feet and back. However, if you start feeling pain--not just post-run soreness, the first thing to blame are the shoes.
Plus, you will most likely become addicted to the training/racing game, and then you definitely need to get yourself a pair of good quality running shoes. Have fun...
Reply:buy real running shoes, those things are crappy gimmick
